Happy Tuesday friends! For those of you in the Northeast I hope you are staying warm….because we are in the middle of a blizzard! I swear this weather is nuts! Just two weeks ago we were enjoying 70 degree weather! Now that I got you all caught up with my winter schedule, it’s now time to showcase these gorgeous weddings! First up, Melissa and Micah’s Military Wedding! This wedding took place in November at West Point. Some of you may remember this gorgeous couple from their beautiful Atlanta engagement session! I remember when Melissa and I first chatted on the phone- we hit it off perfectly! So, when I finally got to meet them in Atlanta I was even more excited for their wedding day. This was my first time shooting at West Point- however several years ago, before TWP was born, I was a bridesmaid at a West Point wedding!
When I arrived to West Point, it looked exactly how I remembered. Beautiful grounds, perfectly manicured. I met up with the bride and the girls in the morning. As always I got started right away with the details! Melissa chose the most stunning pieces to accessorize with…the blue and gold were the perfect pop of color. And that red lip! I felt like I was at a royal wedding! The girls were all laughs and smiles as they hung around the room waiting for the events of the day to begin. One of my favorite moments was when Melissa opened up the gift from Micah… you can see her eyes filled with tears with the biggest smile on her face! Soon after, it was time to get this bride dressed and off to the church to be married!
The church was stunning. A long aisle that felt like you were in a castle- perfect for any bride to walk down. The ceremony and vows were incredible touching and personal. Melissa and Micah were beaming the entire time. After the ceremony, in Military tradition, it was time to do the saber arch. I love that formality! After their kiss, we all piled onto a bus that took us around campus for photos. The light was so stunning… perfectly golden. In fact, there are a few images that remind me of the setting in the movie Rudy. The position of the trees and light- I know that’s random, but it does look like the movie in certain spots!
After photos, it was time to celebrate these two newlyweds! Melissa and Micah danced the perfect ball room dance as their family and friends looked on with a smile. All day these two were filled with smiles- and you can tell that they truly were being present in the moment. Melissa and Micah, thank you so much for choosing me to capture such a special day in your life…it means so much! May your future be brighter than you can imagine and filled with an abundance of blessings! Congratulations! As always, leave a little love in the comment form below!
With Love,

One of the most beautiful weddings, I have ever attended. Will always remember the setting and the elegance. Would love to read the vowels since I did not hear a word said in that big church.
