Ohhh my goodnesss!! I am so excited to post this long over due blog!!! This one is near and dear to my heart because these two are like family to me! It all started with Kaylee and Nate’s wedding a few years back and since then a truly awesome friendship blossomed!! There have been so many special life moments that I have been honored to be a part of ….and now here I am with another one!! Brenna and Kris’s wedding!! If you’re wondering where the connection is with Kaylee and Nate, the groom Kris is Kaylee’s brother! Thinking back, I think the first time I met Brenna was when baby London was born! You can imagine my excitement when Kris popped the question-especially to such an amazing person like Brenna! These two are truly meant for each other!

When the wedding day arrived, it was so fun to document all the details in the morning! The bridesmaids were dancing and having fun around the room as Brenna was getting her finishing touched on getting ready. I love it when the room is filled with so much positive energy and love! It really puts a smile on my face! After capturing the details, it was time to get this bride dressed and ready to get married! I loved seeing Brenna’s mom looking over at her daughter as her dress was getting laced up… such a special moment. I couldn’t wait to see Kris’s reaction to his beautiful bride!

When I arrived to the church, Kris and the groomsmen were outside taking a few photos before the ceremony. As to be expected, lots of laughs with this crowd! SO much fun!! As Brenna walked down the aisle with her mom, I loved seeing the groom’s face. So excited to see her…best moment ever! The ceremony was so personal and special- and I loved the aisle that was lined with flowers! After their official kiss as husband and wife, it was time to get  right into photos! We had limited time before the sunset, so I followed these two love birds right out the door! Thankfully, Mother Nature was so good to us- the sun was perfect! One of my favorite things when I photograph couples is when their bodies form a heart! If you look carefully at the photo with their foreheads touching- you can see the heart! Just another reason why I think these two are soul mates!

Once portraits were complete, we snapped some family photos at their reception venue- Glen Sanders Mansion. I don’t typically post family formals, but I just adore these! The decor makes them look like they are at the White House! After family photos, it was time to celebrate! I knew this was going to be a party to remember! From the entrances, to the surprise dance performed by Brenna’s mom, the Jet’s chant, and the tradition of belt-limbo… it was a blast to capture it all! But, I have to say their first dance was my favorite. There is always a distinct moment during the first dance when the newly married couple radiates from the inside out. It’s hard to explain….but its like everything they dreamed their wedding to be is summed up right then and there. On the dance floor… with their new spouse… surrounded by their loved ones. It’s about as perfect as a moment can get. Kris and Brenna thank you so much for choosing me to capture such a special time in your life, it was such an honor to be there!
