Get ready to swoon!!! I have been loving every second of working on this wedding blog! Brittany and Anthony tied-the-knot on May 31st and my goodness was it an event to remember! So many special things happened on their wedding day that reminded me that there is more to life than the here and now…
In the late morning, I headed over to hang with the girls as they got all dolled up and ready for a beautiful day! As always I got started with some detail shots as Leah was working her makeup magic! After Brittany got in her wedding gown, her father came over to take a look at his beautiful baby girl before he walked her down the aisle. His reaction was priceless. He gently lowered his head and looked down, trying to hold back tears…it was so special.
I always love shooting at Saint John’s in Schenectady- the church is so beautiful and the architecture is just magnificent. It amazes me what we’re able to do because of technology these days! Anthony’s grandparents were able to watch the ceremony from Italy via Skype. With a smile from ear to ear, Anthony watched his bride walk down the aisle. The ceremony was sweet and the music gave me the chills! Following the ceremony, I wanted to take a photo of the bride with her hand placed over her heart as she looked up in remembrance of her brother. Just as I put her in place, the power went out at the church. I snapped the photo and once I was finished, the lights went back on… I have no doubt he was right there with her. After family formals, it was time to head down to Albany for pictures. We weren’t planning on the rain, and it was pouring! I decided that I wasn’t going to worry because I had faith that it would stop when we arrived. Sure enough, the rain stopped! Thank you Jesus! After an amazing portrait session, it was time to head back to 90 State where cocktail hour was in full effect! Everyone was ready to party! The dance floor was packed all night and everywhere I looked I could only see smiles! A beautiful reminder of how much these two are loved…
