Before the first Tuesday’s Together meeting, I could only hope that it would run smoothly and everyone would leave learning something new. Well, I have to say it really exceeded my expectations! Being the leader for Albany, NY, I was slightly intimidated …because, let’s face it, I don’t have all the answers. I can certainly share what’s worked for me, but I am still learning and growing. After thinking more about it, I had a light bulb moment- We are all in the same boat. I’m pretty sure the only person that has all the answers is Jesus. Recognizing that simple fact put my mind at ease. You see, this is exactly what these meetings are all about- Helping each other! At one point in the meeting I had to admit that my work flow is from a time before Christ. There is so much technology available that would help make my life easier- and yet, I have not heard of any of it! That was hard to admit- because a deep part of me wants to put on a front and pretend that I have it all “together.” But the truth is, I am a work in progress. We all are a work in progress. I am so thankful to be a part of a community that is excited to connect with other entrepreneurs -Let’s make waves, friends!!!

…these were just some of what we discussed! Aside from learning something new, I loved getting out and chatting with everyone! Some topics that were suggested for future meet ups were: Social Media Etiquette, Finding Balance: The Blurred Lines of Work and Personal, Tips on Creating the Best Experience for Clients. I have shared these with the founders of the Rising Tide Society- hopefully we can get these implemented! The next meetup will be on Tuesday, July 14th- time and location will be announced in the Facebook group as we get closer to the date.
