Ohhhh ya know, I’m just doing a little happy dance in my chair because I am so pumped to share the sweetness in this blog!!! Seriously, I’m dancing. TWP couple Nikki and Mark welcomed their first baby girl, Marilena Grace, to the world at 11:39pm on Friday February 27th! After being out West for a photography conference I was so excited to come home and have a newborn session waiting for me! After arriving to their home, I was so impressed with the baby’s nursey! Nikki is seriously talented! Combine that with some beautiful window light and we had our own custom studio! This little model just knocked me off my feet… at one point I squealed and I’m pretty sure I sounded like some weird barn animal! I couldn’t help it, I was SO excited! I genuinely love what I do, so it’s very easy for me to get super giddy with excitement! After some solo portraits of the new baby, I wanted to get some sweet moments between all three of them. Just outside the nursery was a staircase with a window over the landing. I thought, this would be perfect…and it was! You would never know that was where we were shooting! It was ideal because the light was beautiful and the small space brought them together nice and close which is exactly what I wanted to achieve! Yay! Ok, enough talking and on to the images already!! Mark and Nikki, thank you so much for inviting me in to your home to capture such a special time in your lives! Baby Marilena is beautiful and so lucky to have you as parents!!
