Happy Thursday friends! Today I am featuring a very special couple, Kristin and Dennis. It’s hard to find the words of where to begin…truly. I can remember clear as day when these two sat on my couch for the first time. As I always do when I first meet a couple, I ask: “how did you meet?” I have to say, of every story I’ve heard…these two had the most memorable. It wasn’t so much the actual encounter of when they met….it’s what they had to endure as their love grew. These two spent a lot of time in the hospital …. In fact, it’s pretty miraculous that Dennis is still with us today. Out of respect for their privacy, I don’t want to go into too much detail….but I will say this: Love never fails.

When the wedding day arrived, you can only imagine the amount of joy and love that consumed the air. It was a very special day… Not only for Kristin and Dennis, but for their families, too. When I arrived to Kristin’s childhood home, everyone was smiling and chatting away as the hair and makeup team got them all glammed up!  Everyone looked amazing… truly! After we got beautiful bride Kristin in her dress, it was time to do the first look with her father. These moments always give me the chills…because they are so precious. He greeted her with the biggest hug as her mom looked on with a smile. They handed over a couple gifts, and naturally, a few tears rolled down her cheek. It was just the beginning of an amazing day.

We arrived at Saint John’s where Dennis was tucked away in the back so the arriving guests wouldn’t see him. He was so happy. The music that filled the church was wonderful…It made me feel like I was in a movie. I just remember thinking throughout the ceremony …this is what it’s all about.

Following the ceremony, we headed across the street with Union College for portraits. It was so beautiful outside, slightly windy, but the sun was shining so I was one happy photographer! These two really know how to keep each other smiling! I couldn’t have been happier. Shortly after, we headed over to 90 State to officially get the party started!

When we arrived, I was in awe….I felt like I was in a cherry blossom forest! I was the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen! It felt magical. After formalities, we headed out to grab a few more photos on State Street. Oh my goodness how we all laughed! From start to finish, this wedding was filled with beauty… I know this because it all started with two beautiful people. Kristin and Dennis, it was an honor to spend your wedding day with you…May your future be as bright as your smiles! Congratulations!!
