The day is here… and it feels a little bit surreal to be blogging my very own engagement session. I don’t always talk about my personal life in great detail- but one thing I know for sure is that I have waited a long time to meet someone as genuine as Trevor…and in all honesty, I would continue to wait if I knew it meant marrying him at the end of it all. So here I am in all my fluffy sunshine filled happiness… counting down the days until I become his wife. 270.

Every time I run into a friend or talk to a family member they immediately ask, “So, who is shooting your wedding?!” Let me tell you- finding a photographer was a lot of research. I knew the style that I wanted and I was willing to bring anyone from anywhere if they had the eye! After chatting with numerous photographers (literally from all over the world) – there was one who I hit it off with… and the best part? She is located in New Jersey! The first time I chatted with Cassi on the phone I felt like I was talking to a good friend. We laughed, I teared up when talking about Gianna, and we share a devout passion for God. And if that wasn’t enough, she had a killer portfolio! You’re about to see what I’m talking about (if you haven’t already stalked her from my IG posts!) Cassi is a hybrid shooter which means she shoots both film and digital. Since I learned photography on film, I always loved the idea of having real film for my own wedding. The next question I find people asking me is, “Are you having video for your wedding?” This is honestly my favorite question… only because I have the best story to go a long with it. When I was stuck in Florida during the shut down I spent most of my time connecting with a lot of wedding vendors. One late night during a random search I came across this cinematographer who is brand. flipping. new. As in, year one of the industry. When I saw his work, not only did I get chills but I immediately stalked him on all social media platforms. All I could think was, “Oh my gosh, this kid is going to be a HUGE success and he has no idea. I have to tell him!! I need him to work with me now!!” For those of you that know me know I also have a passion for helping creatives pursue their passion… I just love helping. So, after stalking I was able to get Andrie on the phone…literally less than 24 hours. I’m pretty sure he thought I was nuts. I was like this huge super fan coming out of the woodwork. But I didn’t care! He needed to know that he has a gift. On the call, I learned that he had only shot three weddings to date, and his business partner is his girlfriend named Maggie! Fast forward to when I got back to New York …After my two week quarantine I immediately set up a meeting with them. My gosh… these two are so incredibly sweet, humble, passionate…. Literally everything you need to be in this industry and more. I hired them on the spot and I literally can not wait to work with them for so many other projects besides my wedding. Andrie and Maggie, you both are so incredibly gifted and I can not wait to see what the future brings…. because I know it’s only going to be filled with wild success. Now, after reading that story you know I needed these two to film our engagement session- so that’s what we did! But you know what’s even sweeter…. After talking with Andrie and Maggie, they will be offering engagement session films exclusively to all TWP 2021 couples!!!! How’s that for excitement?! You guys this is big, big news. I’m sooo pumped!

Leading up to the shoot I was surprisingly calm and just really, really excited. I was doing every beauty treatment in the history of beauty treatments…which I’m sure I’ll blog about at some point! I started the day off with hair at Alexandria’s Salon – and that was so relaxing… nothing like an amazing salon style! I’ve been going to Alex for years- and just like I knew she would, she knocked it out of the park! After hair, I had my makeup done at home by Amanda Pierce. This girl… so, let me just start off by saying she has a contract with Bravo TV. As in she works with big time celebrities ALL the time. Fashion week? Been there, done that. When I tell you I was PUMPED to have her do my makeup- major, major understatement. You know I hired her for the wedding, too. Also, a special shout out to my go to florist, Kris Ann of Fleurtacious Designs. She always knows how to pull together the perfect floral compliment to any shoot! Love you!
