This past week TWP was surrounded by rainbows and sunshine and butterflies…and well, anything else that is fun and sparkly! After returning from my trip to Florida just two days ago, I decided to skim through my emails to help get me back on the wedding photography bandwagon. With a full calendar ahead of me, I felt recharged and excited to take on the second half of wedding season. I was fully expecting to exchange emails regarding engagement shoot ideas, timelines for upcoming weddings, new inquiries for 2013 etc… what I didn’t expect to see in my inbox was an email from the Senior Creative Director for the Country Music Awards. After rapidly blinking several times with my mouth wide open I finally decided that opening the email would be the proper next step. Remember in 2010 when I traveled through Nashville and photographed singer/songwriter Ryan Tyndell? Well, turns out Ryan’s writing talents have earned him some big time recognition. His song “Springsteen” sung by Eric Church has ranked #1 on the charts for quite some time and is predicted to be nominated not only for Best Single, but also for Song of the year! After seeing over 5 million hits for the song on YouTube, I will be surprised if this song doesn’t win! So what does that have to do with me? Well, turns out CMA Creative Director loved my photos of Ryan so much they want to use them for advertising purposes on the CMA website and in the program that will be distributed to all attendees at the award show (with TWP credit of course!) Beyond…..beyond awesome! Needless to say, I am one happy camper! And this is just the beginning of the good news! Congratulations Ryan on your mega success! TWP will be cheering you on and definitely tuning in to the awards show on Nov. 1st!
The awesome song:
Naturally, after all this fun news I decided to do a quick google search and I was happy to see that Record Label Ole put some of my images to use on their blog. If you’re into the country music scene, and wish to read the article here is the link: Topping the Charts Ryan Tyndell, Eric Church and Ole
And another article found in their newsletter: Ryan Tyndell and Eric Church
Just when I thought I found everything in my google search, I saw my name, Photo Awards, Zoom Winner, and Ryan Tyndell on page one of my search engine. I clicked on it only to find that my entry for the International Photography/Lucie Awards received an Honorable Mention in the Professional Advertising Music category. The jury consisted of “80 of the world’s most prominent photo professionals.” The panel of judges carefully reviewed tens of thousands of entries from 90 countries across the globe. 30 images were selected to receive an honorable mention and I couldn’t be more thrilled that I was one of them! Check out the image below! To view the image in the awards gallery, click here.
So what’s next? Well, remember the wedding advertisement shoot from a few months back with the Century House? It has been accepted for publication in popular wedding magazine WellWed New York this fall! Keep your eyes peeled for the feature! So exciting! I think I started tap dancing with excitement!
The good news kept rolling in… when I received an email notifying me that Alicia and Bob’s wedding from last September has been published in DIY Weddings Magazine. I just ordered my copy of the magazine online so when I have it, I’ll share it with all of you!
I’ll save the cutest for last…. My adorable nephew is being featured in Occassion’s Magazine! You may remember his ultra cute Dr. Suess themed birthday party when he turned one– well I can’t wait to see how they lay out this feature! It should be out in only a couple weeks!
I am so thankful for all of these amazing opportunities! Needless to say…. God has blessed me to the moon and back!
